May Menu and Mother's Day Printable

May Menu and Mother's Day Printable

Hey everyone!  I am still working on grouping all my lunch and breakfast ideas into easy recipes, I can't wait for them to be ready so I can share them with you!  Don't get me wrong, cereal is not bad...but eating the same thing over and over again for breakfast can get boring!  I can't believe that it is already May...the menu this month is excellent so you have got to check it out!  I have the Menu, Recipes, and Grocery Shopping List all ready so there is no excuse to slack of this month....right?? :)  Also, do you remember the Printable I offered here at the end of this post?  It would make a great Mother's Day present in a nice frame!  Right now I am willing to customize for those that want to but you need to e-mail me by the end of next week so I have enough time to get it in.  If you would like it, e-mail me any picture you would like to put in place of the one there and if you would like me to include a name on it.  It fits perfectly into an 8X10 frame and would be super cute with a picture of your mother and you or you and your baby :) Okay, you know the drill, the links are listed below and if you have any questions and are new, feel free to e-mail me and I will be more than happy to help you with any questions you may have!  Don't give up, you can do this, being organized will save you money and time and lots of "fun" extra trips to the grocery store.  Enjoy :)

New Menu and Grocery Shopping List

New Menu and Grocery Shopping List

Okay everyone!  It's that time of the week again that we get to have a new menu and Grocery Shopping List!  Hopefully you all are getting back into the swing of things with New Years and have begun your New Years Resolutions!  I am working on it...promise :)  One of my New Years Resolutions is to make this blog a little more organized for you guys!  Maybe feature new recipes on the days when I am not posting menu items, or crafts!  Let me know what you would like to see more of...I have a handful of kids clothes I am working on right now so I can get Easter Dresses done...yes you heard me right...Easter!  I need to be ahead of the game here because if not then I won't get anything done after this baby gets here.  Life basically comes to a stand-still for the first few months after a new baby gets here...as it should...so you can just squeeze and love and cuddle with your brand new baby and not worry about all the craziness that life hands you for a while.  You have complete permission to stay in your jammies all day everyday for a month and not clean your house...leave that up to your hubby...after all you, just spent 9 months, a.k.a. 40 weeks, a.k.a. 280 days creating a beautiful and wonderful little human being, you deserve as much of a break as you can!  I am working on my freezer and slow-cooker meals so I don't have to stress about dinner as much so prepare yourself for some fun, easy and delicious meals soon to be featured!  I also have some nice and healthy meals mixed in so that way all you who are working on your New Years Resolutions to lose weight will have something to look forward to.  If you know me, you know that I love healthy but I also don't like to sacrifice flavor so these recipes will definitely leave you feeling satisfied.  Leave me a comment letting me know what you would like to see more features of in between menu posts whether it be Recipe Tutorials, Mommy Moments or Home Decor Crafts and Sewing! As always, if you are new here and have any questions on how this works let me know, I am more than happy to help!  Enjoy!

Grocery Shopping List

Edited to add* Since I am getting my healthy meals and freezer meals I used a previous menu from October however it wouldn't update the changes to the menu for some reason but that has now been fixed and everything is current and up-to-date.  On the last Monday instead of being Halloween Rootbeer it should now list Breakfast Loaf!  Hopefully it is all straightened out!  Let me know if you have any questions :)

New 3 Week Rotation

Sorry I am so late in posting this!  We have been crazy busy over here getting Halloween costumes made and decorating the house...hopefully you guys were able to get your subway art up in your homes because we definitely need some holiday cheer after getting over these yucky colds that seemed to linger forever!  Here is your new Menu, Recipe File and Grocery Shopping List for the next 3 weeks!  I know there seems like a lot of ingredients this time, just remember to go over the spices because there are a lot you probably won't need to buy more of.  Don't forget that if you need to do a Costco trip, the 3 things I buy are Pork Roasts, Ground Beef and Chicken Tenders, they will simplify your life :)  You will find the lists below.  Let me know how you like the recipes and if you have any questions leave a comment below or e-mail me!  Enjoy and I will be posting some yummy pumpkin recipes soon.  Sorry for the delay!

Enjoy!

3 Week Rotation September 4th - September 24th

Click on the link above that says Menu to open and below to open the Grocery Shopping List

As promised here is my new 3 week rotation and grocery shopping list with local deals. Let me explain how this works really fast...I like my list in alphabetical order because I price match at Walmart. I take all my items that are price matched and I put them at the very end of my line of groceries. Trust me, this is WAY more efficient. When it's time for me to price match my celery, I just go to my C's and tell him how much it is on sale for and where in case he needs to check my ad. That way I am not searching all over my list for my celery...I know exactly where it is an how much it costs. Some people like to make their lists according to aisles...this is what works for me. Always, always, always, bring your ads, some clerks will check them, some will not...but if you don't have the ad then they won't do it so bring it. On my list you will see that I have put little letters in parenthesis such as (M), (S), (BL), and (BLT)...these are the stores where the item is on sale so when the clerk asks you to see the ad where it is on sale, you know exactly which store it is at and you don't need to search through each individual ad. Below I will post what each of my abbreviations stand for.

(M) - Macey's
(S) - Smith's
(BL) - Buy Low
(BLT) - This also stands for Buy Low but when you see the BLT it stands for produce specials that are only available to Price Match on Wednesday and Thursday because that's how long their sales are for...so some times I go Grocery Shopping on Thursday if there are really good deals and continue with my 3 Week Rotation Menu.

I wish I had more ads but for some reason I only get two out here and then I print the Buy Low Ad online. So just some tips...check your pantry and clean out your fridge before you ad items to your grocery list this way you don't buy too much of an item that is going to spoil. Each time you are grocery shopping, grab a couple extra canned food items to add to your food storage and slowly you will build up and if it's a REALLY good deal, buy more than a couple :) I know some of you are couponers out there...and to be honest I don't coupon. I have tried it numerous times and found that it was just way too time consuming and I wasn't really saving all that much money on anything we utilized. So if you coupon, keep it up! You are amazing :)

You need a break yet? I promise it sounds really overwhelming but it really isn't once you get the hang of it and if you have any questions at all I would be more than happy to help you out! So go get out there and go grocery shopping! Aren't you excited ;)

Enjoy!
